CULTIVATE THE MINDSET + HABITS OF A

Self-taught artist

Spend 30 days with a minimum of 5 minutes a day on your creative calling, learn the mindset and habits of a self-taught artist through four 2-hour workshops, and grow with the company of an online community + your own accountability partner. We begin on January 29!

Is this you?

  • Somewhere inside you feel a longing to create on a regular basis (be it painting, writing, music…), but you struggle to go from dreaming to doing.

  • Maybe you’re living a busy life and find it hard to prioritize creativity… But you know that it would fuel your sense of aliveness and you’re ready to question your priorities.

  • You have at least 5 minutes a day that you could spend creating.

  • You want to build creative momentum—you want to take steps every day towards where you want to be, but you’re not sure how to get started.

  • You’re ready to take ownership of what’s stopping you from creating. You’re ready to face your inner resistance and learn the art of showing up.

If you’re longing to create but aren’t creating, it means deep inside you’re an artist and it’s time to get to work.

MASTER THE ART OF

Showing up

The reason you’re not creating those magical things you’re dreaming of isn’t your lack of time, skill, or inspiration. The reason is your own inner resistance. Resistance is a sneaky bastard. It shows up as excuses, feeling too tired, postponing things, distractions, or a very harsh inner critic.

Every artist struggles with this—even those achieving the most mind-blowing creative accomplishments. The only difference between them and where you are right now is that they learned to overcome resistance and cultivated the skill of showing up.

The funny thing about resistance is that the more you would expand by doing the thing, the more resistance you’ll feel. The more of a gift it would be to the world, the more your inner resistance will try to keep you away from it. You might be dreaming about it, but actually getting started and doing the thing is the hard part.

Learn to get started even when you’re feeling resistance and you will live a life of creative fulfillment. Beat resistance on a daily basis, and your contribution to a more magical world will be deeply felt.

The goal of these 30 days is for you to build momentum by showing up to create every single day. It doesn’t matter if you think what you made is “bad”. With time, your efforts will accumulate into your creative growth.

The workshops

(and yes, there will be recordings if you can’t make it live)

  • Habit design + meet your Inner Child

    JANUARY 29, 7:00-9:00 PM CET

You’ll be led through a process to help you design the perfect creative habit for you. You’ll get the tools and knowledge you need to design and cultivate a habit that sticks. You’ll also meet your inner child—an important part of you that’s vital for your creativity.

  • Overcome your Inner Resistance

    FEBRUARY 10, 7:00-9:00 PM CET

We’ll explore the different sneaky ways the fearful part of you is trying to stop you from creating. You’ll gain clarity around how excuses, postponing, the Inner Critic and other blockages can be worked through and how you can keep showing up no matter what.

  • Guidance from your Future Self

    FEBRUARY 17, 7:00-9:00 PM CET

During this session, you get to tap into the wisdom that’s already inside you. Let the future version of you who’s succeeded with your creative dreams guide you. We will begin with a meditation and work with tools and reflective questions to connect with our inner guides.

  • Your creative vision + wrapping up

    FEBRUARY 27, 7:00-9:00 PM CET

It’s time to reflect and gather all the learnings from the past 30 days. But the journey doesn’t end here! How do you want to proceed with your creative work? What’s your highest vision and how can you keep moving towards it? It’s time to get clarity on that.

My story with all of this

I’m Amalia Rachel and a few years back I was a lost creative soul who was longing to create but got caught up in overthinking, performance anxiety, and self-doubt. Today I’m a self-taught artist and illustrator, selling works to all kinds of corners of the world. What got me from that doubtful place of overthinking to where I am today was learning the art of showing up, no matter how much resistance I felt. I still have days when this is really hard for me but I now have the knowledge, tools, and mindset to get over myself and move into a creative flow state.

This course is everything I wish I had back when I started. It’s the mindset cornerstones that make all the difference but also the structure to get you from dreaming to doing. I don’t want to just give you the feel-good-fluff, but also the right circumstances so that you actually practice your craft every day. In the end, it’s up to you to do your work but this is your chance to get the help of inspiration, science and community so that you can cultivate a thriving creative practice.

What previous course participants are saying

  • "I paint more regulary and I really love it. I had a short break for a week but today I instead did two paintings <3 and my headache disapeared"

  • "Amalia creates a relaxed atmosphere where everything is welcomed. She takes you on a creative journey that is not only connected to painting but to the life itself. I will use her techniques in many parts of my everyday life."

  • "You should join if you feel the urge to create more in general in life, it doesn’t have to be just painting it could be anything. Amalia creates a safe space where you can explore your inner world. She give you tools that help you unblock things that are standing between you and your creative expression."

  • "Opened up a portal of creativity for me. Creating all sorts of things like events, meditations, drawings, etc but with an emphasis on dedicating myself to paint because I feel so drawn to it :)"

  • "Special thank you to Amalia for hosting a 5 min creative container where I got to meet my accountability partner Minna from Sweden. For 30 days we checked in with each other, sharing more than our artwork but also ups and downs, then magically she gets an opportunity to come to LA just days later and she has the wonderful idea to have a full moon event together. I love how opening up to creativity is a portal to opening up to sooo much more."

  • "It was great for me to prove to myself that I can commit to a daily habit, it increased my self esteem."

Q&A

What if I can’t participate live in all the workshops?

No worries, dear one. The workshops will be recorded and sent to you afterward. However, you’ll get the most value out of participating in the live sessions, so I highly recommend you show up to as many as possible.

I love all kinds of creative stuff but I’m not sure what I’d zoom in on if I had to choose one thing. Is this still for me?

Yes, if you’re ready to zoom in on one thing for 30 days. I know how hard it can be to choose your focus when you’re multi-talented but I also know the magic of choosing one thing. You don’t have to choose for your whole lifetime—it’s just 30 days. If you decide to join, I recommend you add a 1:1 coaching session with me and I can help you get clarity on what to focus on.

Will there be art tutorials?

No <3 This container is made for multiple types of creatives and our focus is on the inner game of creative work (which is the same in any field) and the art of showing up daily.

Is it really just 5 minutes a day?

Yes, and no. One of the key elements of showing up daily is to make the threshold as small as possile. Your minimum is 5 minutes a day. If you’re like most people, you’ll feel some resistance before you get started but once you’re 5 minutes in, you’ll forget about time. If you really only have 5 minutes, then that’s all you´ll do on that day. And if you have more time, you can keep going. There are also the four workshops which are 90 minutes each.

Who took all the amazing photos on this page?

It’s my dear photographer friend Minna Ýr Jóhansdóttir. You can see her portfolio and contact her here.
